Half Yard Productions Aligns Under Sean Gallagher as Sole CEO

Half Yard Productions, a Red Arrow Studios company, is implementing a new corporate structure, with joint founder and co-CEO Sean Gallagher assuming the sole title of CEO from March 1.

Abby Greensfelder, who founded Half Yard with Gallagher in 2006 and has been serving as co-CEO, has decided to step back from day-to-day activity at the company at the end of February. She is developing a new company with an aim to champion and support the voices of women in all forms of media. Greensfelder will remain a co-owner and shareholder in Half Yard and sit on the company’s executive board with an active role in corporate direction and strategy.

As part of the revised structure, two new senior roles have been created at Half Yard. Rossana O’Hop, chief financial officer, is being promoted to the new position of COO, overseeing all finance, production management and post-production operations. Nicole Sorrenti, currently VP of programming, is being elevated to the new role of chief creative officer, overseeing all production and development.

Meanwhile, Janice Mezzetti has been promoted to senior VP of production and operations and John Jones to VP of production and development.

Gallagher said: “We are so proud of the team that we have assembled and who have helped us to build Half Yard into a production powerhouse over these past 13 years. I am delighted that Abby will remain with us as co-owner, shareholder and executive board member while also starting an exciting new chapter in her career. We are also thrilled to promote Rosanna, Nicole, Janice and John to new leadership roles; together they have been major forces in developing, casting and producing Half Yard’s incredible slate of series and specials.”

Greensfelder said: “I have loved these past 13 years of working together to build Half Yard into the company it is today. I feel called at this point in my career to focus on the urgent need to elevate women in media. As co-owner and executive board member of Half Yard, I am also excited to remain engaged with the continued growth of the business I founded with Sean.”
