Paramount+’s Geddy Lee Asks: Are Bass Players Human Too? will premiere exclusively on the service on December 5 and 6 in a slew of countries and territories.

Produced by Banger Films and MTV Entertainment Studios, the docuseries sees Rush bassist Geddy Lee travel to the homes of some of music’s most renowned bass players and dig into the stories that make these musicians stand out. A follow-up to his book Geddy Lee’s Big Beautiful Book of Bass, the new four-parter features episodes with Krist Novoselic (Nirvana), Les Claypool (Primus), Melissa Auf der Maur (Hole, Smashing Pumpkins) and Rob Trujillo (Metallica).

On December 5, the project will debut in the U.S. and Canada. It will be available the following day in the U.K., Australia, Latin America, Brazil, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

Additionally, Lee’s memoir My Effin’ Life is set to release on November 14. Lee will embark on a 19-city book tour in the U.S., Canada and the U.K., hitting New York, Montreal, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Glasgow and London, among others.

“The idea for this show was born out of interviews I did for my first book, The Big, Beautiful Book of Bass,” said Lee. “I was struck that these accomplished musicians also lived incredibly interesting, multifaceted lives offstage. Who knew bass players were so effin’ human?”
