Essential Media Group & Quail Television Enter JV

SYDNEY: Australian producer Essential Media and Entertainment has entered into a joint venture with factual specialist Quail Television to form a new Los Angeles-based venture.

Essential Quail Television is led by executive-producer partners Greg Quail (Quail TV), Jesse Fawcett (Essential Media USA) and Chris Hilton (Essential Media & Entertainment). The outfit is already producing a raft of hit series for Scripps, including Texas Flip n Move, its spin-off shows Louisiana Flip n Move and Alaska Flip n Move, the new restoration series Restored, as well as several new pilots for HGTV and DIY.

“Establishing Essential Quail Television is the logical next step in the U.S. market for Essential Media and Entertainment,” said co-CEO of EQTV and CEO Essential Media and Entertainment, Chris Hilton.“Greg’s unmatched creative drive complements our existing Essential USA business perfectly. Naturally, we’re delighted the business has become so strongly established so quickly.”
