Esquire Network to Air Special on the O.J. Simpson Trial

LOS ANGELES: Esquire Network is broadcasting a 12-hour special titled The Real O.J. Simpson Trial, about the infamous 1995 murder case, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on April 3.

This marks the network’s first-ever 12-hour special. The broadcast marathon will recap “the trial of the century,” from the opening arguments to the final verdict of the State of California vs. Orenthal James SimpsonThe Real O.J. Simpson Trial will feature archival footage from the courtroom where Simpson was tried for the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman.

Footage from the trial will include “The Kickoff,” featuring the opening statements from the prosecution and defense, running from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., followed by “Dead-Ball, Foul Play,” as the opening statements continue (10 a.m. to 11 a.m.). “The F Word” will see former LAPD detective Mark Fuhrman testify (11 a.m. to 12 p.m.), while “I Plead the Fifth” sees the return of Fuhrman, as well as testimony from defense witnesses (12 p.m. to 1 p.m.).

The marathon will continue with “Take Care of the Hands That Take Care of You,” featuring the infamous gloves (1 p.m. to 2 p.m.), “Is Kato Your Middle Name?,” which sees Simpson’s guest-house occupant Brian “Kato” Kaelin begin his testimony (2 p.m. to 3 p.m.), and “Never Live with Someone that Won the Heisman,” a continuation of Kaelin’s testimony. “Did We Just Have an Earthquake: Thumps on the Wall,” will feature the conclusion of Kaelin’s time on the witness stand (4 p.m. to 5 p.m.), while “Running Back” will see both sides deliver their closing arguments (5 p.m. to 6 p.m.). The closing arguments continue in “Milking the Clock” (6 p.m. to 7 p.m.), and the conclusion of the closing arguments and the prosecution’s rebuttal will be featured in “Play to the Whistle” (7 p.m. to 8 p.m.). The Real O.J. Simpson Trial will conclude with “If It Don’t Fit, You Must Acquit,” which will recap the closing arguments, rebuttal and the jury’s final verdict.
