Gusto’s original docuseries Dog Tales Rescue is returning to the network for a second season, which will follow international rescue missions for the first time and also see the show be made available on Gusto’s YouTube channel the day after broadcast.

The show returns to Gusto on Tuesday, May 7, at 9:30 p.m., airing subsequently in the time slot every week. It will also air on Animal Planet later this year. A Bell Media Studios and Motion Content Group co-production, Dog Tales Rescue chronicles the day-to-day operations of Dog Tales, a Toronto-based animal rescue sanctuary for sick, elderly and abused animals.

Rob Scheinberg and Danielle Eden-Scheinberg run the shelter, and the show’s season two premiere will see them rescuing dogs from a hoarder in Tel Aviv. Season two will also see the farm expanding, as Dog Tales’ team of horse handlers take on 75 horses, while welcoming chickens, pigs and sheep.

Season one of the show is available now on Crave, CTV.ca, and the CTV app. Season one previously aired on Gusto, CTV, Animal Planet, Canal Vie, Crave, Fibe VOD and CTV.ca., as well as AB Droit in France.
