Curiosity Stream Unveils New Originals

Curiosity Stream has revealed its upcoming spring and summer slate, featuring a slew of new original films, series and specials.

The slate is led by Lift the Ice, following six field-leading experts as they climb, dive, rappel, ice axe and tunnel their way under Earth’s ice sheets to explore what is melting the cryosphere. It is set to begin streaming on April 20.

Lift the Ice will be followed in May by the five-part original series GIANTS, in which wildlife filmmaker Dan O’Neill leads an adventurous team around the world to find the biggest animals that walk our planet and unlock their evolutionary secrets. It will premiere on May 18.

Later in the summer, The Real Wild West will make its debut. Grammy Award-winning musician Dom Flemons takes viewers on a ride through the history of early America, exploring the diverse pioneers who shaped the country, including black and Hispanic cowboys, female homesteaders, immigrants and tribal leaders.

The upcoming slate includes a host of other new titles as well, including Queens of Ancient Egypt, exploring the untold stories of Egypt’s female monarchs; Unearthed: Ancient Murder Mysteries, in which a homicide detective and scientist team to unearth suspects for some of history’s most intriguing murders; and Zombie Fungus Attack, diving into the world of dangerous fungi that are a threat to humans.

Additional titles are Normandy: Land of Warriors, providing a detailed history of Normandy and its wars; History: The Interesting Bits, exploring the salacious and unbelievable parts of the past that don’t always make it into history books; Nature’s Hidden Miracles, diving into the workings of evolution; and Breakthrough: Jupiter’s Moons and the Search for Life, following a pair of missions that will bring us closer than ever to Jupiter’s icy moons.
