Channel 4 Lines Up Nonfiction Title Taxi of Mum & Dad

LONDON: Channel 4 has commissioned Princess Productions, part of Endemol Shine Group, to produce the hour-long program Taxi of Mum & Dad.

The program will utilize a fixed rig to eavesdrop on families’ conversations and explore parenting styles as they drive around in their cars. Taxi of Mum & Dad was ordered by Channel 4’s education commissioning editor, Emily Jones. Anna Blue and Will Spokes serve as executive producers for Princess Productions.

Jones said: “Taxi of Mum & Dad is a simple premise that captures those precious moments between teens and their parents when they’re not sure you’re looking. It’s a warm, funny parenting program that says: you may not know what you’re doing, but neither do they.”

Emma Hardy, the managing director of Princess Productions, added, “We are delighted that Channel 4 has commissioned Princess to produce such an insightful program that looks at modern parenting and British family life.”
