Celebs to Sell Off Unwanted Items in New Channel 4 Show

Boomerang and Motion Content Group have been commissioned to produce a new celebrity-based show for Channel 4 tentatively titled Star Boot Sale.

The series, for Channel 4 daytime, follows five celebrities as they compete to sell their unwanted items and memorabilia at car boot sales around the country—all proceeds will go to their favorite charities. Among the celebrities set to appear are Anthea Turner, Joe Pasquale, Michelle Heaton, Sam Thompson and Nancy Sorrell.

Sam Grace, the director of programs at Boomerang, said: “It’s amazing what’s lurking in celebrities’ closets. This is the show that will reveal all. We can’t wait to invite some much-loved personalities to wake at the crack of dawn, don their wellies and see what they can rustle up for charity.”

Melanie Darlaston, executive producer for Motion, said: “There’s nothing quite like a boot sale to bring out the celebrities’ inner ‘Del Boy’ and unleash some healthy rivalry as they compete to make the most money for their chosen charity.”
