CBC has ordered a second season of the unscripted paranormal comedy series Ghosting with Luke Hutchie and Matthew Finlan.

From Blue Ant Studios in association with Luke Hutchie Productions, season two will see the amateur ghost-wrangling duo investigate paranormal activity reports in Ontario, British Columbia, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and the Yukon Territory with celebrity guests. The new season is slated to premiere in the winter of 2025 on CBC Gem.

Blue Ant Studios holds international distribution rights for the series.

“Season one of Ghosting was a captivating and innovative take on the paranormal genre that left viewers craving more,” said Matthew Hornburg, co-president of Blue Ant Studios. “In season two, viewers can expect to see a wider variety of locations across Canada with increased tension and scarier moments, but the series will still maintain the humor and liveliness that Luke, Matthew and their celebrity friends bring to the show.”

“I am so excited to be working with CBC again on such an incredible show that not only highlights Canada in a new and unique way but also celebrates Canadian talent,” added Hutchie, president of Luke Hutchie Productions. “I am so proud of the talent and locations we were able to showcase in season one and cannot wait to up the ante with a cross-country season two.”

Jennifer Dettman, executive director of unscripted content at CBC, commented, “Luke and Matthew bring a new twist to paranormal entertainment with their spirited and spooky investigations. We look forward to seeing them explore ghostly mysteries in more Canadian communities as we expand the show and travel it across the country in season two.”
