Blue Ant Media has ordered three new series and one renewal across its Canadian specialty TV platforms Love Nature, Cottage Life and T+E.

Among the newly greenlit titles, Cub Camp centers on Black Bear Rescue Manitoba and the orphaned cubs it saves. The six-part series, produced by Merit Motion Pictures, follows the young bears from the day they’re rescued to the day they’re released back into the wild.

Filming for Cub Camp begins in spring/summer 2023. It is slated to air on Love Nature in Canada and will then roll out worldwide on Love Nature’s branded linear and streaming platforms.

For Cottage Life, American Doomsday (w.t.) has been ordered. The three-part docuseries examines Mother Nature’s power of destruction through an in-depth analysis of weather phenomena and natural forces and their effects on humans and the geology of the planet. It is produced by Wildflame/Saloon Media, a Blue Ant Media company.

Also for Cottage Life, the original investigative series Mysteries from Above has been renewed for a second season. The Saloon Media-produced series explores remote, hard-to-reach locations as drones explore strange geological occurrences, unique man-made structures and lost civilizations.

Lastly, Blue Ant Media greenlit Haunted Lost and Found (w.t.) for T+E. Co-produced by Singaporean producers Beach House Pictures and Momo Film Co. and Vancouver-based De Vries Production, the series features firsthand accounts from unlucky individuals who purchased, found or were gifted an item that turned out to be haunted or cursed.

“Blue Ant’s focus has always been on collaborating with leading Canadian and global production partners to build a strong programming slate spanning multiple genres to meet audience demand,” said Sam Linton, VP and head of original content and Canadian media at Blue Ant Media. “Our latest slate includes a mix of adorable wildlife, mysterious discoveries and paranormal phenomena. We know this dynamic portfolio has great global appeal and will work well for both our Blue Ant channels and our international distribution pipeline.”
