Blue Ant Media has strengthened its senior leadership team with the promotions of Jamie Schouela, Carlyn Staudt and Mitch Dent.

Schouela has been upped to chief operating officer to lead the company’s M&A and business development. Staudt has been promoted to president of global channels and streaming, and Dent has taken on the role of president of Canadian media.

Schouela was previously president of global channels and media, where he led the strategic directions and operations of the company’s free streaming and pay-TV television networks around the world. He also oversaw content development acquisitions, scheduling, marketing and communications, as well as the relationships with Blue Ant’s channel distribution partners.

As chief operating officer, he will drive the company’s strategic growth and oversee some company-wide service groups. He will collaborate closely with each business unit to support them in achieving their goals.

Staudt formerly served as head of commissioning for Blue Ant Media’s free streaming and pay-TV channels in North America and internationally. As president of global channels and streaming, she will continue to oversee the company’s international channels business, which includes Love Nature, Declassified, HauntTV, Total Crime, Hopeful and Love Pets. She will also continue overseeing the growth of the company’s worldwide channel footprint across all platforms.

As president of Canadian media, Dent will oversee Blue Ant Media’s Canadian operations, which includes its specialty TV and Canadian free streaming operations, ten consumer shows and Blue Ant’s publishing business. Prior to the promotion, Dent was executive VP of consumer shows, media sales and publishing. In that role, he spearheaded growth across all business segments, including linear TV advertising, and led the acquisition of Media Pulse.

All three will report directly to Michael MacMillan, CEO of Blue Ant Media. Schouela and Dent will continue to operate from Toronto, while Staudt will continue to be based in Washington, D.C.

“These strategic promotions underscore the proven business acumen and operational strength of our senior team at Blue Ant Media, positioning the company for continued growth and enhanced value creation,” MacMillan said. “Their leadership will be crucial as we build upon our incredible momentum and pave the way for further expansion.”
