Big Coat Appoints Head of Production

TORONTO: Big Coat Productions has named Christine Diakos, a former Bristow Global Media senior producer, as head of production.

In her newly created role, which is effective July 18, Diakos will work out of Toronto under executive producers Maria Armstrong and Catherine Fogarty. She will manage all of the company’s productions, including the long-running hits Love It or List It, Love It or List It Vancouver and Love It or List It Vacation Homes.

Diakos has spent several years working for a number of production companies and channels in Toronto, including CBC, CTV and Slice Network. Before her time at Bristow Global Media, she served as executive in charge of production for lifestyle at Shaw Media.

“Christine’s experience in all sides of the television industry—as a host, a director and a producer—make her a valuable asset to the Big Coat family,” said Armstrong. “We look forward to bringing Christine’s creative vision to our upcoming projects as we continue to provide first-rate programming for various platforms that meet the needs of a diverse and ever-evolving audience.”

Fogarty added: “Christine will bring a deep blend of vision, skill and talent to our company, and we are fortunate to have found someone of her caliber to take on a leadership role. She will be an outstanding addition to our team.”
