BBC Studios has inked presales for the natural-history series Seven Worlds, One Planet with a number of international broadcasters.

Ahead of MIPCOM, Seven Worlds, One Planet has presold into Sweden (SVT), Denmark (DR), Norway (NRK), Spain (Telefonica), Czech Republic (Prima and Czech TV) and to Latin America’s Discovery as part of an existing multiyear partnership. Sony BBC Earth in India and BBC Earth channels across Africa, Canada, the Nordics, Asia, MEDME, Poland and CEE will also be premiering the series. Its co-production partners include BBC AMERICA, Tencent Penguin Pictures, ZDF, France Télévisions and China Media Group CCTV9.

Created by the BBC Studios’ Natural History Unit and narrated by Sir David Attenborough, Seven Worlds, One Planet will feature previously unseen animal behavior from all of the continents, including the plains of Africa and the frozen waters off Antarctica. By exploring these unknown and unexpected wildlife stories, the series aims to uncover the fundamental truth about what makes each one of our seven worlds unique.

Paul Dempsey, president global distribution for BBC Studios, said: “The appetite for blue-chip series from BBC Studios’ Natural History Unit gets greater every year. Planet Earth II, Blue Planet II and then Dynasties all broke viewing records and captivated audiences across the world. Now we are seeing more and more buyers wanting to be a part of the success story, and we are delighted to partner with them on our next exciting chapter.”
