BBC One Orders Pet Behavior Show from Studio Lambert

BBC One has commissioned the 2×30-minute factual series Nightmare Pets: SOS, about bad behavioral issues with animals in the U.K., from Studio Lambert.

Set in the English countryside, Nightmare Pets: SOS will see a team of animal behaviorists help pets with such issues as excessive barking, aggression with strangers, separation anxiety and biting. The show was ordered by Charlotte Moore, director of content, and Tom McDonald, BBC’s head of commissioning for natural history and specialist factual.

Craig Hunter, BBC’s commissioning editor, stated: “Pet behavior and animal psychology is a rich and complicated subject to explore on BBC One—not to mention very entertaining. From cats and dogs, pigs and parrots, this series promises to be full of shocking behavior and really useful advice for anyone with a pet that behaves badly.”

Tim Harcourt, the creative director of Studio Lambert, who is also executive producing, added: “We all love our pets, but that love means we have sleepless nights and constant worry when they misbehave. From basic training to extreme behavior, this series will help owners who are at their wits’ end, as well as provide audiences with simple tips and tricks on how to train a pet at home.”
