Arrow Media has been commissioned to produce 26 hours of true-crime content for Investigation Discovery.

Among the commissioned content is the new six-part series Love, Honor, Betray, using real footage to explore stories of betrayal by husbands and wives. It is set to premiere on November 4 on Investigation Discovery and will be available for streaming on discovery+ on Thursdays.

Ash Potterton, executive producer at Arrow Media and for the series, said: “What has always set Arrow Media apart in the crowded factual space is our exceptional storytelling. By combining firsthand testimony from victims with archive footage from their wedding and happier times, we are able to build a full picture of the crime and tell deeply emotional stories of how they were betrayed.”

Also part of the commission is 20 more hours of American Monster, taking the series into its seventh season. Going beyond the scene of the crime and directly into the lives of murderers using home movie footage, the series’ seventh season is slated to debut on October 31 on Investigation Discovery, with streaming availability on discovery+ on Sundays.

Nick Metcalfe, executive producer at Arrow Media and for American Monster, said: “The key to the enduring success of American Monster has always been the never-before-seen footage that the team work tirelessly to acquire to give viewers the inside track on the tragic crimes committed and a unique insight into those who commit them.”
