Another Season of Jay Leno’s Garage for CNBC

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS: CNBC has ordered a second season of Jay Leno's Garage, an automotive-themed show led by the titular comedian and former Tonight Show host.

Jay Leno's Garage, made by FremantleMedia's Original Productions, looks on as Leno explores such automotive topics as classic cars, super cars, road tests and the car collectors' market. The program recently wrapped its freshman run, which was the most-watched first season in network history. The 12×60-minute new season is due to debut in spring 2016.

"We are really excited to be picked up for another season," said Leno. "We have a lot of great things planned. It will be a wild ride."

"Every week viewers get the opportunity to ride along with the ultimate car enthusiast," noted Jim Ackerman, the executive VP of prime-time alternative at CNBC. "Jay Leno's passion for cars and unique storytelling resonates with viewers and we are excited to hit the road again this spring."

"Our passion of making the best reality TV matches Jay's passion to share his love for all things automotive," added Philip D. Segal, CEO and executive producer at Original Productions.
