U.K. producer Jonathon Hancock, who has credits on Strictly Come Dancing, The Apprentice, Come Dine with Me, Britain’s Got Talent and more, has opened the full-service production company Reel Scenes Media.

Focused on factual entertainment for broadcasters and brands across digital and terrestrial platforms, the company is working with Young Creators UK, the U.K.’s first youth-run, impact-led creative agency, to introduce fresh talent to projects.

Hancock, who is serving as creative director of the new company, has over 15 years of experience working on some of the U.K.’s most popular television shows. He was a senior edit producer and edit producer on Strictly Come Dancing; a producer/director on The Apprentice, Come Dine with Me and Britain’s Got Talent; a senior producer on Cooking with the Stars and Eurovision Welcomes the World; and a development producer on Dubai: Buying the Dream.

Reel Scenes Media has already made two senior hires, tapping two Strictly producers to join the company. Georgia North-Coombes has been named senior producer. She worked on Strictly Come Dancing and Gordon Ramsay’s Future Food Stars as a producer and on The Apprentice, Made In Chelsea, Eating with My Ex and Glow Up as an assistant producer. She also worked on campaigns for brands such as John Lewis, Speedo, Tesco, Victoria’s Secret and Sweaty Betty.

Amy Mcilveen has joined the company as a production executive. Her experience includes serving as a production manager on Strictly Come Dancing and Boss Pitches and as a junior production manager on Top Gear, RuPaul’s Drag Race, Blind Date and Catfish.

“The demand for unscripted content that pushes boundaries is booming across all platforms,” Hancock said. “We know that there is a strong opportunity in today’s market for broadcasters to leverage more opportunities in the digital space, reach those underserved audiences and forge even more programming collaborations with brands. It’s a great time to be at the forefront of this movement.”

On the partnership with Young Creators UK, he said, “Reel Scenes Media is committed to fostering inclusive collaboration and breaking down barriers within the production industry. Our partnership with Young Creators UK allows us to bring fresh and diverse perspectives to our projects for broadcasters and brands.”
