Fremantle has sold the high-end fashion documentary series Kingdom of Dreams to HBO Max in Europe, Latin America and Asia, as well as Crave in Canada.

Produced by London-based Misfits Entertainment in collaboration with Fremantle, Kingdom of Dreams uses rare library material, never-before-seen personal archives, powerful visuals and story-driven interviews to detail the Golden Age of fashion from the early 1990s to the 2010s.

In the U.K., Ireland, Italy, Germany and Austria, the series will launch on Sky Documentaries.

Misfits Entertainment’s Ian Bonhôte and Peter Ettedgui, creators and executive producers of Kingdom of Dreams, said: “We are thrilled that HBO and Crave have come on board, and we can’t wait to share Kingdom of Dreams with audiences all over the world. We want to create an ambitious, landmark piece of event television, and we are immensely grateful to Fremantle and Sky for giving us the opportunity to return to the fashion world and expand on the narrative approach we evolved for McQueen.”

Jamie Lynn, executive VP of co-production and distribution for EMEA at Fremantle, commented: “Developing such a bold and groundbreaking piece of event television with the Misfits team has been an absolute joy, and this series perfectly encapsulates the type of exciting, must-see narrative documentary series that Sky are known for. We are certain that Kingdom of Dreams will enthrall international audiences by capturing the story of style, high fashion and its creative powerhouses in a contemporary way.”
