Sky Unveils Climate-Focused Content for COP26

Sky has revealed a range of climate-focused content, including a special celebrity episode of Sky Arts’ Landscape Artist of the Year, set to air during the COP26 Climate Change Conference beginning October 31.

As a principal partner and media partner to COP26, Sky’s range of climate programming will air not only on Sky News, but on channels such as Sky Sports as well. On November 3, Sky Arts will air a special episode of Celebrity Landscape Artist ahead of the main series release in early 2022.

Also coming to Sky Arts is Venice: A Concert for our Climate, which will take place at La Fenice Opera House and feature an orchestra introduced by interviews with artists and climate experts.

On Sky News, the Daily Climate Show, the world’s first climate-focused daily show, will go live every day from COP26. Sky News will also launch a dedicated channel to cover the conference, Sky News Climate LIVE, from November 1 to 12. It will run parallel to Sky News. ClimateCast, the channel’s weekly podcast, will be recorded daily from COP26.

In addition, Sky News and Sky News Climate LIVE will debut the exclusive documentary CLIMATE CRISIS: Life on the Frontline on November 5, followed by an in-person screening at COP26 on November 7. The documentary explores the struggles caused by climate change in Bangladesh and the south of India.

Sky Sports will broadcast Cricket’s Climate Crisis on November 4, featuring former England player Ebony Rainford-Brent as he explores why cricket is one of the sports most under threat due to climate change.

On Sky Max, Temple season two will debut on October 28. The new season centers on climate change, as Lee is inspired by Eve and her new friend, environmental activist Ash, to leave the bunker and become involved with her group of climate protesters.

Sky Nature is set to release Shark with Steve Backshall, a new documentary series that sees Backshall go on a journey while teaming up with world-leading scientists to confront uncomfortable truths and join shark advocates across the globe. The series is set for a November 7 release.

COP26: In Your Hands, featuring six young climate activists from six different continents demonstrating how climate change is already impacting their lives, is now available on Sky Kids and will air at COP26 on November 7.
