Animal Planet Names New Senior VP of Production

Animal Planet has promoted Erin Wanner to senior VP of production following her tenure as the network’s VP of production.

Wanner’s new role will see her heading up all of Animal Planet’s production teams. Working with internal executive producers and external production companies, she will aim to ensure the quality of the network’s storytelling and execute its content vision.

As a key creative voice for Animal Planet, Wanner serves as the executive producer for select series and specials, including Crikey! It’s the Irwins and Saving Africa’s Giants with Yao Ming.

Before joining Animal Planet, Wanner was an executive producer for Discovery Kids.
