The craft brewery BrewDog has launched The BrewDog Network, a curated SVOD service targeting passionate beer enthusiasts.

Available globally at launch on Android, iOS and online, the streaming network’s lineup will be curated by BrewDog co-founders James Watt and Martin Dickie. The BrewDog Network will feature hundreds of hours of programming with a deep dive into cocktail, craft beer, culinary and travel adventures, as well as comedy, game shows, documentaries and more.

There are some 14 original series available at launch, with highlights such as The BrewDog Show. Other featured originals include Are You Smarter Than a Drunk Person, where an average trivia competitor goes head-to-head with a MENSA genius who’s not exactly sober; Four Sheets, featuring comedian Zane Lamprey in an all-new drinkation adventure inspired by his long-running series Three Sheets; and Business Punks, a docuseries featuring BrewDog co-founder James Watt going one-on-one with fellow rulebreakers and business misfits who found success.

Acquired content includes William Shatner’s Brown Bag Wine Tasting, a celebration of wine and wandering conversation; Zane Lamprey’s Drinking Made Easy, a pub-crawl exploring the local drinking culture of various cities in the U.S.; The Flying Winemaker, an international wine and travel show; Surfing the Menu, an Australian cooking and lifestyle series hosted by celebrity chef Curtis Stone; and Never Ever Try This at Home, a comedy-reality series featuring hosts Teddy Wilson and Norm Sousa.

Watt said: “After our previous TV show Brew Dogs got canceled, we didn’t want to sit around in our underpants, crying into a tub of ice cream. So we decided the only thing to do would be to build our own TV network. This is a genuine move to take the video-on-demand revolution to a new level. Driven by true passion and enthusiasm, we are doing exactly what we did with craft beer; raising standards and eyebrows in equal measure.”

Watt continued: “Just as Netflix has pioneered mainstream streaming services, The BrewDog Network will be the first globally recognized, passion-focused platform. We believe craft beer can be the inspiration for the most popular content on the internet—maybe even more popular than videos of cats falling off walls or celebrity sex tapes.”
