YouTube Renews Lupita Nyong’o’s Super Sema

YouTube Originals Kids and Families has picked up a second season of the African animated series Super Sema.

Produced by a female-led team that includes Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o, the show features a young superhero girl named Sema and follows her world-changing adventures. The 12-episode season two will premiere later this year.

Since its debut in March, Super Sema has become a global hit. reaching millions of viewers around the world. The season one finale of the free-to-stream series is currently available on Super Sema’s official YouTube channel.
