Yo-Kai Watch Series Gears Up for Global Rollout

PARIS: The first season of the animated series Yo-Kai Watch is due to debut on Cartoon Network in the U.K. this spring, and will continue to roll out in additional territories throughout the year.

Yo-Kai Watch will premiere on Cartoon Network in the U.K. on April 23. The show will also launch in more than 100 territories around the world. In France, it will debut on BOING in April, Gulli on September 1 and Cartoon Network in March 2017. In Germany and Austria, the series will begin airing on Nickelodeon on May 21. Over in Italy, the show will premiere on Cartoon Network in April, and then later on BOING.

Yo-Kai Watch will also launch on BOING in both Spain and Africa in May, and on soon-to-be-announced channels in Russia and the Ukraine in the fall. The series will debut on Nickelodeon in Belgium and the Netherlands on May 21, and on Cartoon Network in CEE, the Nordics, Portugal, Turkey and Poland between April and May. It will also premiere on Noga in Israel this summer.

Created by Japanese video-game company LEVEL-5, Yo-Kai Watch centers on a boy named Nate who acquires a special watch that allows him to discover mysterious creatures called Yo-kai that cause nuisances in daily life.
