YaYa & Zouk Among D360’s New Sales

TORONTO: Distribution360 (D360) has licensed more than 260 episodes to broadcasters and digital platforms in North America, including selling YaYa & Zouk to NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment’s Sprout in the U.S.

YaYa & Zouk follows the comedic adventures of a sister and brother as they explore real and imaginary worlds through creative play. The 78×5-minute preschool show, which comes from the creators of Toopy and Binoo, is made by ToonDraw Productions in association with Société Radio-Canada and YOOPA. It is due to debut on Sprout early this year.

YaYa & Zouk is a whimsical series taking kids on a host of imaginary adventures,” said Kirsten Hurd, D360’s director of international sales and acquisitions. “We are thrilled the show will be enjoyed by U.S. audiences on Sprout and hope this is the first of many international homes for the program.”

Meanwhile, BBC Kids Canada went for the second season of The New Adventures of Figaro Pho, which is produced by Chocolate Liberation Front. The new SVOD service Curious World snapped up the rights for Victory Arts’s Alphabet Stories and YOUniverse. D360 is also placing a pair of marblemedia properties on the batteryPOP platform in the U.S.: Ride or Wrong and the third season of This is Scarlett and Isaiah.
