Wind Sun Sky Entertainment Hires Jo Redfern

Peppa Pig and Disney alum Jo Redfern has been appointed to Wind Sun Sky Entertainment (WSS) for the newly created managing director of kids role.

Redfern is tasked with expanding the company’s footprint in the kids’ media business with a focus on the recently announced Future Chicken!, an eco-initiative for kids that combats defeatist attitudes toward climate change. Redfern is based at the company’s headquarters in Vancouver, with day-to-day oversight of the kids’ content team.

Her purview extends to overseeing the Future Chicken! YouTube channel, Roblox games, educational collaborations with nonprofit partner The Ontario Water Centre and more, all with the goal of fostering a vibrant children’s community that bridges their virtual and real worlds. Redfern will report directly to CEO and executive producer Catherine Winder.

With a career spanning two decades, Redfern has spent time at the Peppa Pig franchise, Disney and 24 Watts, among other companies. She spent several years in public-service broadcasting at the BBC, where she played a pivotal role in the creative execution for the CBeebies Land theme park and hotel.
