Wind Sun Sky Appoints Executives

Robin Hays has been appointed VP of creative for kids at Wind Sun Sky Entertainment.

Hays will be responsible for the strategic development and execution of kids’ content creation across various projects and format types, including animation, live-action and hybrid projects.

Hays will drive the creative implementation of concepts through completion with an initial focus on the Future Chicken universe. She will also support the company’s renewed expansion of its existing multi-platform property Camp Bonkers.

Prior to joining Wind Sun Sky, Hays worked as an independent filmmaker, directing, writing and producing short and long-form films. She will report to Jo Redfern, managing director for kids.

Bernice Vanderlaan has also signed on as executive producer and head writer for the Future Chicken universe. In her new role, Vanderlaan will help ensure the many narrative extensions of the universe are produced in alignment with the project’s guiding principles, education and entertainment goals.

Vanderlaan has written for a multitude of kids series including The Magic School Bus Rides Again (Netflix) and Alma’s Way (PBS), and has developed, written and story-edited a swath of kids’ programming. She reports to Catherine Winder, CEO, founder and executive producer for Wind Sun Sky.

Additionally, 10Star Media has been appointed as the exclusive distribution agency for the company’s slate of properties for kids, families and adults. The agency is set to showcase Future Chicken’s multiple content extensions at MIPJunior and MIPCOM.
