Universal Kids is expanding its unscripted offering by adding two new original lifestyle series to its spring 2018 lineup.

Get Out of My Room and The Big Fun Crafty Show will debut in May 2018. The new series join other unscripted shows on Universal Kids, including Top Chef Junior, The Noise and the reboot of Beat the Clock.

Get Out of My Room launches on May 21 and gives siblings who share a bedroom the chance to design and build new rooms for each other. The Big Fun Crafty Show is a competition series that sees creative kids take on an imaginative crafting challenge under a time constraint. It will premiere May 14.

Additionally, in partnership with DreamWorksTV, Universal Kids premiered Life Hacks for Kids: On the Road on March 3, followed by Junk Drawer Magical Adventures on May 12.

“It is incredibly important to us that our shows celebrate all that is universal about being a kid,” said Deirdre Brennan, the general manager of Universal Kids. “Our research tells us that kids want to see themselves reflected on screen, and both Get Out of My Room and The Big Fun Crafty Show incorporate the fun and the firsts of being a kid. Universal Kids is investing in innovative content that families can experience together, and these series certainly deliver on that promise.”

“Deirdre Brennan and her team at Universal Kids have been incredible partners as we expand two of our most successful series into the linear universe,” said Birk Rawlings, the head of DreamWorksTV. “Their willingness to experiment with new formats and embrace authentic, fun and creative programming is perfectly aligned with what has driven DreamWorksTV’s huge success on digital platforms.”
