LONDON: BBC Children’s has commissioned Dot To Dot Productions to produce additional seasons of the kids’ series Footy Pups and Art Ninja.

CBeebies commissioned a sophomore season of Footy Pups from Dot To Dot Productions. The 30×15-minute series targets children aged 3 to 6, teaching them basic sports skills. Narrated by John Motson and hosted by footballer Rachel Yankey, the show focuses on football and seeks to encourage kids to exercise and develop an interest in sports. Dot To Dot will also produce a third season of Art Ninja for CBBC. Host Ricky Martin returns to make art and spend time with his friends Sarah, Gavin and Michelle.

Kay Benbow, the controller of CBeebies, remarked: “As a passionate football fan myself, it’s great to be inspiring the next generation of players by bringing new episodes of Footy Pups to CBeebies. Rachel is a brilliant coach and presenter and I know our audience will continue to love following the adventures of the Footy Pups while learning football skills at the same time.”

Dot To Dot Productions’s Jo Killingley, who created Art Ninja with the head of development, Alan Robinson, said: “We are delighted that Art Ninja is returning to CBBC. It’s fast becoming an iconic brand with children and parents alike getting inspired, and discovering their inner creativity. We want to give all those Ninja apprentices more art to keep them busy and entertained, only this time bigger and better!”
