TV Kids Summer Festival Preview: Day 3

The third day of the TV Kids Summer Festival features M6 Group’s Philippe Bony, Aardman’s Sean Clarke and 9 Story’s Vince Commisso, along with an AVOD superpanel that includes WildBrain Spark’s Jon Gisby, Roku’s Ashley Hovey, Jetpack’s Dominic Gardiner and Xilam’s Charles Courcier, and ZDF’s Nicole Keeb will be honored with a TV Kids Pioneer Award. Philippe Bony, the head of thematic and youth channels at M6 Group, will outline the strategies the company has put in place to keep its market-leading portfolio at the forefront of the French kids’ sector in his Wednesday morning keynote.

Next, we’ll hear from Sean Clarke, the managing director of Aardman, on the company’s commitment to innovation, nurturing talent, philanthropic initiatives and opportunities for growth.

At noon, do not miss our AVOD superpanel, which is structured in two parts: in the first half, we’ll hear from WildBrain Spark’s Jon Gisby and Roku’s Ashley Hovey about working with content and ad partners, while in the second, Jetpack Distribution’s Dominic Gardiner and Xilam Animation’s Charles Courcier will discuss the complexities and rewards of AVOD licensing deals.

Next up, Vince Commisso, the president and CEO of 9 Story Media Group, will weigh in on the strategy for building brands, the company’s focus on diversity and representation and managing a business amid the pandemic.

We close the Wednesday agenda by honoring ZDF’s Nicole Keeb with a TV Kids Pioneer Award for her valuable contributions to kids’ television.
