TV Kids Summer Festival Adds WarnerMedia’s Tom Ascheim

Tom Ascheim, the president of Warner Bros. Global Kids, Young Adults and Classics, is the latest addition to the TV Kids Summer Festival.

Ascheim leads the global strategy for Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and Boomerang, manages the studios of Cartoon Network and Warner Bros. Animation in Los Angeles and oversees the development of the kids’ and family slate at HBO Max. Warner Bros. Global Kids, Young Adults and Classics has distribution in 192 countries around the world. The division’s networks are in 500 million homes and delivered through over 65 channels in 31 languages.

During his keynote, Ascheim will talk about expanding Cartoon Network to make it more girl-inclusive, branching out into preschool and family programming, the strengths of the kids’ slate at HBO Max and the collaboration between Cartoon Network Studios and Warner Bros. Animation Studios.

The TV Kids Summer Festival, which is being held from June 7 to 10, will explore the challenges and opportunities facing the children’s content community today. Ascheim joins the TV Kids Summer Festival alongside previously announced speakers Disney’s Ayo Davis, Mattel’s Ynon Kreiz, ZDF’s Nicole Keeb, M6’s Philippe Bony, Cookie Monster, Sesame Workshop’s Ed Wells, 9 Story’s Vince Commisso, Aardman’s Sean Clarke, Total Drama Island creators Tom McGillis and Jennifer Pertsch and CAKE’s Ed Galton.
