Tralala Leads Blue Ant Studios’ MIPCOM Slate

The musical preschool series Tralala, created by Harry Sinclair, headlines the Blue Ant Studios slate for MIPCOM.

“It’s a rare, special show; one of those projects you encounter maybe once or twice in a career,” says AJ Trauth, VP of development for kids, family, YA and animation. It “charms with music and original storytelling.”

Old Enough!, the first English-language adaptation of the Nippon TV format, sees young kids take on real-world tasks while their parents watch from afar.

All-Round Champion is an adaptation of NRK’s sports competition Best i mest, which sees teens and tweens compete across different sports, coached by professional athletes. “Its universal themes of teamwork and sportsmanship, combined with an incredible cast, make it a winner across markets,” Trauth says.

“Each [of these shows] combines strong storytelling, distinctive creative voices and global appeal,” he adds. “All-Round Champion excites with thrilling sports action and true sportsmanship; Tralala charms with music and original storytelling; Old Enough! delights with the sweet comedic resilience, seeing young kids take on grown-up tasks and watching their parents react and reflect on their parenting style. Together, they are high-quality, internationally appealing series that will play well for many buyers.”

At MIPCOM, Blue Ant Studios is offering these titles and introducing new developments. “Equally, we’re very much open to co-productions and opportunities that maximize our live-action and animation production operations based in Canada to deliver engaging, globally appealing kids’ content at every turn.”
