The ThinkTank Emporium and Treason Media have joined forces with children’s author Sylvia Medina to develop an animated comedy series for the 6-to-12-year-old set.

Titled The World According to Dave, the series will center on an imaginative 11-year-old, who finds an alien device called the Imagin-Atrix that brings his wildest daydreams to life. With the Imagin-Atrix, Dave and his friends embark on adventures through their favorite comics, video games, movies and more. But every time they rewrite the world, they have to overcome a challenge to reset the Imagin-Atrix.

The concept for The World According to Dave was inspired by the imaginative play-activities of Medina’s young son. It’s becoming a series through a partnership between Medina, ThinkTank Emporium’s David Wollos and Canadian television writer Aron Dunn.

“It is indeed a pleasure to be working with Aron once again on this uniquely original animated family concept,” said content/licensing consultant Wollos.

Dunn said: “When David and Sylvia brought me the idea for Dave I instantly wanted to be a part of it. It’s a riotous celebration of imagination that truly reflects the way kids play and engage with popular culture. I’m thrilled to help build out a world that I’m sure audiences will want to leap into and join Dave on his adventures.”

Medina added: “I’m delighted to be working with Aron again. I knew he had the epic imagination, unique perspective and ability to make kids laugh. While the spark of inspiration came from one young boy, together we’ve crafted a series that will appeal to children worldwide and ignite their imaginations.”
