The Strange Chores Renewed for Season Two

ABC Australia has commissioned a second season of the animated series The Strange Chores, produced by Ludo Studio and Media World Pictures.

The Strange Chores sees two teenage wannabe heroes, Charlie and Pierce, and the spirited ghost girl Que master the skills needed to replace the aging monster-slayer Old Man Helsing by doing his supernatural chores. Preproduction on the 26 new episodes is commencing this month in Australia.

The first installment of The Strange Chores launched on ABC Australia in October 2019, with the debut season selling around the world to numerous territories since its release. Sony’s Pop in the U.K., CBC in Canada, Discovery Kids in LatAm, Cartoon Network in Italy, the Showmax SVOD platform in Sub-Saharan Africa, MBC in the Middle East, Junior in Israel, Disney in Southeast Asia and TVB in Hong Kong have all since picked up the series.

Toronto-based Boat Rocker Studios manages the global distribution and licensing of The Strange Chores. Production investment for the series is from Screen Australia, Film Victoria and Screen Queensland.
