The Dodo’s new original series Roman to the Rescue is slated to premiere on Disney XD and DisneyNOW next month.

Co-produced with Nomadica Films, Roman to the Rescue follows 10-year-old Roman McConn on his journey to find homes and forever families for shelter dogs. The series will debut on February 12 on Disney XD and DisneyNOW and is slated to begin streaming on Hulu on February 16.

Jane Gould, executive VP of content research, insights and scheduling at Disney General Entertainment, said: “After partnering with The Dodo in 2019 on the Odd Couples shorts, we leapt at the opportunity to work with them again on this exciting and heartwarming new series. We hope that our viewers will feel empowered by Roman to make positive influences in their own communities.”

David Glauber, head of kids’ programming for The Dodo, said: “We’re thrilled to partner with Disney XD on Roman to the Rescue and bring The Dodo’s heartwarming, inspiring stories about the human-animal connection to viewers. We are excited to continue creating family-friendly content that reaches young animal lovers and expands our massive audience of nearly 50 million parents in the U.S.”
