Mattel Creations' Thomas & Friends: Big World! Big Adventures! has been revealed as the first 2017 MIPJunior World Premiere TV Screening, taking place on Saturday, October 14, at 6 p.m.

CANNES: This year's MIPJunior is slated to take place on October 14 and 15 at the J.W. Marriott Hotel in Cannes, France.

NEW YORK: Catherine Balsam-Schwaber, chief content officer at Mattel, talked about key shifts in the children’s media business at MIPJunior before being interviewed on stage by Kristin Brzoznowski, the executive editor of World Screen. Watch the panel here.

CANNES: MIPJunior has released its list of the top 30 most-viewed kids' productions at the market over the weekend, four of which came from France's Cyber Group Studios and all but one of which are animated.

NEW YORK/PARIS: More than 1,400 executives are expected to take part in MIPJunior this year, which will feature a library of some 1,000 shows available for screening, according to Reed MIDEM’s Laurine Garaude.
