Superprod Group has appointed Charles Vaucelle as creative director, in which he will ensure the development of new original projects for Superprod Animation.

Vaucelle has guided the artistic direction on productions such as Xilam Animation’s Space Goof, Lucky Luke and The Daltons and directed the first season of Pat the Dog for Superprod.

Most recently, he directed Dogmatix and the Indomitables, the first animated TV series based on the IP Asterix, for Hachette.

In his new role, Vaucelle will work closely with Superprod Animation’s creative team, which is led by Patrick Ermosilla, director of the art development department. The team is currently producing seven series and has developed both series and feature films for major broadcasters and platforms around the world.

Jérémie Fajner and Clément Calvet, the founders of Superprod Group, said, “Creation and artistic excellence are at the heart of our studios. We are proud that a renowned talent of Charles’s stature joins Superprod Animation and enriches us with his experiences, his creativity and his everlasting passion for animation.”

“I am very proud and honored to be entrusted with this strategic position by Clément and Jérémie,” said Vaucelle. “I eagerly anticipate working with each of my talented team members to develop exceptionally creative and ambitious projects.”
