Superights to Distribute Preschool Show Emmy & GooRoo

PARIS: Superights has acquired worldwide distribution rights, excluding China and Spain, for the gender-neutral preschool series Emmy & GooRoo.

Superights picked up the rights through a deal with China’s Left Pocket Studio and Spain’s Tomavision. The 52×11-minute series tells the story of Emmy, a creative and resourceful 5-year-old girl, and her best friend named GooRoo, a large, furry creature. Every day, the two friends have adventures in a magical forest with animals and plants that can dance, talk and cook.

The series, which won first prize at the MIPJunior International Pitch in 2014, is currently in production. The 52 episodes are slated to be completed by fall of this year.
