Superights Secures New Deals Across AsiaPac

On the heels of the Asia TV Forum & Market, Superights has confirmed sales for a number of animated series throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

In China, distributor JY Animation acquired the first two seasons of Clay Time, while UYoung signed a deal to secure the first season of Koumi’s Animated Picture Book. ABC in Australia also acquired the first season of Koumi’s Animated Picture Book.

In Hong Kong, Superights struck a deal with the public channel RTHK for Puffin Rock, while the first seasons of both Pat the Dog and Kika & Bob were sold to the free channel Viu TV. Additionally, the first two seasons of Clay Time as well as season one of Will, Handico and Koumi’s Animated Picture Book were eagerly acquired by Now TV.

Superights inked deals in South Korea with the pay channel Daekyo for both seasons of Clay Time and with the public channel EBS for the first season of That’s Joey. In Vietnam, Superights also landed a deal with the platform FPT for season one of Pat the Dog. Taiwanese distributor Muse picked up digital rights for season one of Pat the Dog, and distributor Horng en Culture bought digital rights of Ralph and the Dinosaurs.
