Strawberry Shortcake Lines Up New Partners & Collections

WildBrain is celebrating the Strawberry Shortcake brand’s 45th anniversary with a host of new collections from old and new partners, spanning fashion, food, collectibles and more.

Existing partner A Leading Role has introduced a special new capsule collection that includes a pink tulle skirt adorned with sequined strawberries and a strawberry-shaped crossbody purse, now available at Nordstrom locations in the U.S.

The A Leading Role collection is available at Nordstrom alongside an anniversary T-shirt from Golden Hour and bespoke boots inspired by Strawberry Shortcake and designed by Regina Yazdi. An Instagram competition will give fans the chance to win a customized pair of signature boots.

Another clothing collection is on the way from new partner Boy Meets Girl, a contemporary athleisure brand. The range will symbolize founder and Strawberry Shortcake fan Stacy Igel’s belief that young girls can achieve anything they set their minds to.

BoxLunch has launched a 25-piece collection to commemorate the 45th anniversary, with a product assortment covering apparel, home, novelty, auto, sleep, accessories, pins, bags and jewelry. The pieces are available online and in BoxLunch stores across the U.S.

In the food category, four women bakers have made special treats in honor of Strawberry Shortcake’s 45th birthday. Amirah Kassem, founder of Flour Shop, is sharing her own Strawberry Shortcake-inspired cookie decorating kit that will be distributed to 45 fans. Strawberry Shortcake is also taking over Flour Shop’s New York City flagship store until February 27, with a free special Strawberry Shortcake treat gifted to the first 50 people who visit its location each day of the takeover.

Toronto-based baker Namaya Navaratnarajah, founder of CakesByNams, designed a special selection of themed cakes, including a burn cake that was set ablaze earlier this month to debut the Strawberry Shortcake 45th anniversary logo.

Also, Jennifer Mihalovits of Dough & Arrow will present Strawberry Shortcake-inspired cookies this month, and America Ramirez’s PeachyCakes will celebrate all eras of Strawberry Shortcake and her friends with themed cakes and special deliveries to fans.

In other product categories, Blank Tag Co. created a collection of waterproof and dishwasher-safe Strawberry Shortcake stickers for Valentine’s Day, and Glamlite Cosmetics developed Strawberry Shortcake-inspired assortments for babies to young adults.
