SpongeBob Among Nick’s Kids’ Choice Award Winners

Nickelodeon’s 2018 Kids’ Choice Awards were hosted by WWE’s John Cena in California over the weekend, with SpongeBob SquarePants taking home the prize in the favorite cartoon category.

The favorite TV show award went to Stranger Things, while Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven in the series, won for favorite TV actress. The victor in the favorite TV actor category was Jace Norman for his portrayal of Henry Hart in Henry Danger.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle nabbed the prize for favorite movie; Dwayne Johnson, who plays Dr. Smolder Bravestone in the Jumanji reboot, was named favorite movie actor; Zendaya was voted favorite movie actress for her roles as Anne Wheeler in The Greatest Showman and Michelle “MJ” Jones in Spider-Man: Homecoming; and Coco was chosen as favorite animated movie.

In music, the winners were Fifth Harmony for favorite music group; Shawn Mendes for favorite male artist; Demi Lovato for favorite female artist; Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” for favorite song; Camila Cabello for favorite breakout artist; and ASIA: BTS for favorite global music star.

Winners in other categories included Liza Koshy for favorite funny YouTube creator; JoJo Siwa for favorite musical YouTube creator; Jiffpom for favorite Instagram pet; Backpack Kid for favorite dance trend; and Just Dance 2018 for favorite video game.
