SLR Productions & Giggle Garage Pact, Announce Space Nova Series

Australia’s SLR Productions and Giggle Garage in Malaysia have entered into a new collaborative partnership and are working together on the original CGI animated series Space Nova.

Space Nova, a 26×24-minute series aimed at kids ages 6 to 9, follows the space-adventuring siblings Jet and Adelaide Nova and their parents Josie and Hugo. Together, the Novas planet hop, dodge exploding asteroid belts, surf solar flares and try to connect with extraterrestrial life forms in the year 2162.

An original SLR Productions program, Space Nova was commissioned by Super RTL, ABC Australia and Nine Network, received major production funding from Screen Australia and is also financed with support from Create NSW. The series received development funding from Super RTL, ABC Australia and the Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF). It will be distributed worldwide by ZDF Enterprises, excluding Australia and New Zealand, where distribution is being handled by ACTF.

Giggle Garage, a company helmed by two Sabahans, based in Cyberjaya, has created stories and characters that are traveling around the world and symbolizes the diversity, skill and talent that makes Malaysia stand out in the digital arena.”
