Thunderbird’s Atomic Cartoons is developing the children’s book series Eerie Elementary, written by Max Brallier under the pen name Jack Chabert, for television.

The Eerie anthology TV series will combine live-action, episodic tales with spooky animated mini-stories, parody commercials and more. The show is meant for young viewers age 6 and above. Brallier is executive producing alongside Thunderbird’s Jennifer McCarron and Matthew Berkowitz.

Eerie marks Atomic’s second project with Brallier, who is also creator and exec producer of the upcoming animated Netflix show The Last Kids on Earth.

Berkowitz remarked: “We are thrilled to be re-teaming with Max. His creative voice is unique, yet mainstream. We see him as this generation’s R.L. Stine, and can’t wait to spook, empower, inspire and delight young audiences with Max’s creativity and own brand of eeriness.”
