Starlight Media’s live-action series Really? has won the MIPJunior Project Pitch in the teens/tweens category.

The show centers on Vika, who has endured her insignificant life for 15 years and decides she is going to commit suicide. Her plan is interrupted as the war begins in Ukraine.

Really? was competing against Rorisang & The Gurlz (Cabblow Studios), Starseeker (Little Engine Moving Pictures), The Boy Who Cried miBot (Blisstopia Productions) and Benjamin Ojo: Junior High Private Eye (Little Engine Moving Pictures).

Sallyann Keizer, CEO of Sixth Sense Media, moderated, with a jury comprised of Sarah Muller, head of commissioning and acquisitions for the BBC; Amy Takahara, director of kids co-productions and acquisitions at Netflix; Claire Heinrich, deputy director and head of acquisitions for children’s and youth at France Télévisions; and Brandon Relph, CEO of Nile.
