Q Pootle 5 Brand Awareness Campaign Focuses on Space

Q Pootle 5 is putting a spotlight on space as part of a new U.K. brand awareness initiative to promote the CBeebies series.

The initiative will kick off at the National Space Centre in Leicester on May 12, with creator Nick Butterworth and the alien Q Pootle 5 participating in the center’s Small Space Day for toddlers. Visitors will have the chance to meet the costume character and hear from Butterworth as he brings space adventures to life in his interactive show. There will also be songs, crafts and more.

Another highlight of the campaign will take place on July 31 at the Royal Observatory Greenwich. Attendees will have the opportunity to watch an episode of Q Pootle 5 in the planetarium. In addition, Butterworth will take part in an interactive presentation, and fans will have the chance to meet him at a book signing afterward. Guests will also get to make their own planet mobiles.

Q Pootle 5 is based on the best-selling books by children’s author and illustrator Butterworth. The show follows the adventures of a friendly little alien named Q Pootle 5 and his pals as they tackle everyday problems of the final frontier. The series, which is produced by Snapper Productions, animated by Blue Zoo and distributed internationally by ZDF Enterprises, has been sold into more than 70 countries worldwide. The brand has also secured a number of licensees in the U.K. and Germany.

Ben Butterworth of Snapper Productions said: “These events offer a great opportunity for us to connect with families and Q Pootle 5 fans everywhere. Q Pootle 5 is all about imagination and play. We love to share this with children and inspire them, and grown-ups, to take every opportunity they can to nurture and develop their creativity.”
