Silvergate Media has brokered a deal between Penguin Ventures and Le Méridien Piccadilly Hotel to launch an official Peter Rabbit Afternoon Tea.

Penguin Ventures developed the afternoon tea concept on behalf of Beatrix Potter’s original publisher, Frederick Warne & Co., in collaboration with the London hotel. The Peter Rabbit Afternoon Tea will allow both children and adults to enjoy the classic children’s story with an assortment of treats. The tea launched in April and will be available for six months, Monday through Sunday, from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The themed snacks will include “Mr. McGregor’s Garden” vegetable mini baguette sandwiches, “Caught In A Twist” smoked salmon and sun-dried tomato pinwheels, “Flower-Pot Hideout” chamomile and chocolate pots, a “Magnificent Mushroom” of strawberry ganache with a meringue stem and the “Every Bunny’s Favourite” carrot cake. A selection of fresh scones, jams and clotted cream come served alongside the tea. Children will be served a mini version of the savory and sweet assortment inside a wooden vegetable patch box, while adults will see theirs presented on a tiered slate planter at the Terrace On Piccadilly venue.

Izzy Richardson, head of brand at Penguin Ventures, said: “It has been a pleasure to work in partnership with Le Méridien Piccadilly, and the team there have created an absolutely beautiful and delicious offering. The Peter Rabbit Afternoon Tea is so clearly inspired by Beatrix Potter’s best-loved tale—guests are in for a real treat!”

James Olivier, general manager at Le Méridien Piccadilly, added: “Creating a dedicated afternoon tea in celebration of the iconic British classic Tale of Peter Rabbit seemed like a perfect fit for our family guests. As the story is so rich in adventure and color, our expert pastry team could really have fun with creating a nostalgic experience for the whole family to enjoy.”
