PBS International has added a raft of new content from the PBS KIDS catalog to its MIPJunior lineup, including the new series Molly of Denali.

Molly of Denali is an adventure-comedy series that follows the adventures of feisty and resourceful 10-year-old Molly Mabray, an Alaska Native girl. It is the first nationally distributed children’s series in the U.S. to feature a Native American lead character.

Each episode of the series, produced by WGBH Boston, includes two 11-minute stories as well as interstitial content—including live-action segments featuring real children and regions in Alaska.

At MIPJunior, PBS International will unveil their growing kids’ catalog featuring more than 1,000 engaging stories—from the long-running Arthur series, which tackles universal kid problems, to classic episodes of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, as well as Pinkalicious & Peterrific.

“We are proud to bring Molly of Denali, the newest in a long line of successful PBS KIDS series, to MIPJunior and we are excited to continue growing our catalog with the amazing stories PBS KIDS creates for children around the world,” said Tom Koch, VP of PBS International.

Linda Simensky, head of PBS KIDS content, noted: “At PBS KIDS, our mission is to create shows that are both smart and funny. We know the best way to engage kids is through humor, entertaining stories, and well-developed characters who reflect our audience’s interests and experiences. All of our characters ask questions, connect with others, explore new things, and have amazing adventures along the way.”
