Operation Ouch! Lands in Germany

Serious Lunch has sold Operation Ouch! to ZDF in Germany, where it is set to air on KiKA.

The BAFTA-winning series will premiere on KiKA in spring 2018. CBBC in the U.K. commissioned a sixth season of Operation Ouch! from Maverick Television, and a new book, The HuManual, was recently published by Puffin. A second season of the Dutch format of the series, Top Doks, is in production for NOS from EO. In addition, YTV in Canada recently bought all five seasons of Operation Ouch!

“Operation Ouch! is funny and clever too,” said Dorothee Herrmann of ZDF. “We are looking forward to airing it on KiKA, we are just starting the dubbing so not sure of the new title just yet!”

“With six seasons, Operation Ouch! is now clearly an international brand and its outstanding success wherever it airs in the world is testament to that,” added Genevieve Dexter, the founder and CEO of Serious Lunch. “The latest series will include two specials focusing on teenage mental health.”
