Operation Ouch! Heads to Canada

LONDON: Serious Lunch has licensed all five seasons of the live-action series Operation Ouch! to Corus Entertainment for broadcast on YTV in Canada later this fall.

Operation Ouch! looks on as identical twins and doctors Chris and Xand experiment and explore the world of medicine and biology to demonstrate the amazing things the human body is capable of. The BAFTA-winning show was produced by Maverick Productions (Embarrassing Bodies, 10 Years Younger) for CBBC.

“Through a creative lens that’s both fun and fascinating, Operation Ouch! is a fantastic addition to YTV’s schedule,” said Deirdre Brennan, the VP of content at Corus Kids. “Our commitment to bringing Canadian children and their families engaging programming continues with global hits just like this!”

“We hope its success will spread across North America and I’d like to see local productions happening as they are already in Northern Europe,” added Genevieve Dexter, founder and CEO of Serious Lunch.
