Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards Heading to Abu Dhabi

The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards (KCA) and The World of Nickelodeon are set to take place in the United Arab Emirates’ capital following an agreement between the Department of Culture and Tourism—Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN).

Per the five-year deal, the first Nickelodeon KCA Abu Dhabi will be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre on September 20. The event will include musical and entertainment performances, with a lineup of international and regional performers. The young fans, who will be able to vote for their favorite artists and talent across a wide range of categories, will also be able to enjoy three days of events and activities at The World of Nickelodeon at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from September 19 to 21.

HE Saif Saeed Ghobash, undersecretary of DCT Abu Dhabi, said: “At DCT Abu Dhabi, we are continuing to build Abu Dhabi’s product and experience offerings by continuing our close collaboration with leading industry players, and keeping up the development of new products and events while at the same time improving visitors’ experiences. An event of this stature fits perfectly with our mandate to provide the very best entertainment and activations for all sectors of society, and we are looking forward to seeing overseas visitor numbers increasing as a consequence of securing this significant event for Abu Dhabi for the next five years.”
