Nickelodeon Asia has secured a deal with China’s Zhejiang Radio & TV Group to air the 3D animated series Dayu on its channels across Southeast Asia.

Dayu will air as four one-hour installments on June 25 to 28 at 9 p.m. The series brings to life the Chinese legend of Dayu, a mythical hero who faces many challenges and obstacles set before him, battling for 13 long years and leading the people to eventually defeat Gong Gong, who is likened to the Greek Poseidon.

Pierre Cheung, senior VP and general manager of ViacomCBS Networks Asia, said: “Through this partnership with Zhejiang Radio & TV Group, we are adding to our Nickelodeon content offering as we seek to bring the best in kids entertainment to our audiences. Animation is an exciting genre that can complement many of our brands, and we continue to explore other opportunities, applications, and platforms.”
